  Classes
Date: Thursday, April 01, 2010 - 7:00 pm
Duration: 2 Hours

Facilitator:  Fay Hart
Thursdays, March 25, April 1, 8, and 15
7 to 9 pm
Location: Rm #301

This workshop will take a look at contemporary poetry through received poetic form.  Fay will cast light on the wonderful abundance that exists in the brevity of poetic language, translating that understanding into an access to abundance in all aspects of our lives.

Using works from British and American poets such as Elizabeth Bishop, Seamus Heaney, and the facilitator's own work, she will weave her story of transformation through lessons in the craft of poetry. Participants will be encouraged to have a go at writing in various forms.  The final class will be an open reading, where participants will have an opportunity to read either their own work or that of another poet.  Love offering will be taken.

Fay Hart spent the better part of thirty years in London. Her poems are published in numerous British journals, several notable anthologies and her first full-length collection, YARD SALE, has just been published by Shandy Lane Press (2010). Fay works as a Personal Life coach, inspiring people to find joy in what they do.  She divides her time between Florida and Mexico.
