We are a spiritual community who welcomes all. We teach a positive, practical, and progressive approach to spirituality. Our church features a spiritual education program, a prayer ministry, a bookstore, support groups and a variety of events, activities, and classes throughout the week.

What are your gifts and talents? Our volunteer program is based on the truth that each of us has spiritual gifts and unique talents to offer one another, and that these gifts are woven together to create a vibrant and growing spiritual community. With more than 23 volunteer teams, we’re sure there’s a place for you to share and serve.




First Unity of St. Petersburg, established in 1924

An inclusive, spiritual community dedicated to honoring the magnificence of God’s creation inherent in everyone. As a member of the Unity Worldwide Ministries and affiliated with Unity, publishers of Daily Word © and host of Unity.fm, we teach a positive message that supports each man, woman, and child on his or her own unique path to understanding the power and presence of God active in the world. Rather than focusing on what divides people, we affirm the common ground that unites us all in one human family. We find our unity in our shared experiences – most notably the need to love and be loved. In all that we do, we strive to follow the words and the walk of our Way-Shower Jesus the Christ who said, “Love one another.”

Unity has many teachings, all of which are taught with the understanding to take what is right for you and leave the rest. We have no creeds or doctrines to which members must ascribe because only the living Spirit of Truth within the individual can identify what is true for him or her.

Our most common and universal teaching are these:

  • The nature of God is altogether good - active in all things, at all times.
  • All individuals are inherently good because God’s divinity is inherent in everyone.
  • People create their life experiences by what they choose to think, believe and feel.
  • Through affirmative prayer and meditation, people can connect with God and manifest the best that life has to offer.
  • Talking about the Truth is not enough, everyone must live their own Truth.

Why Unity Campus?

When First Unity grew "wings" several years ago, lots of things began to change. Our new Wings Bookstore, located at 4500 4th St N, brought to us many new opportunities to reach out into our community, as well as a chance to grow beyond our church walls. Unity Campus is a reflection of our whole being - First Unity of St Petersburg plus Wings Bookstore.
