The Youth of Unity (Y.O.U.) is a group of teens aged 14 to 18 years who come together to learn Unity Principles, serve the church and community, and share loving, spiritual fellowship. Y.O.U. explores teen spiritual, emotional and social issues that are relevant to youth in today’s world. “The Y.O.U. meets every Sunday morning from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm in room #400 of the Learning Center for their Spiritual Class.

All YOU activities are designed to create a balance of study, prayer, service, and fellowship that involve, motivate, and stimulate young people to be in expression what they are in reality: Children of God.

The YOU’ers are also given an opportunity to participate in several regional rallies each year which involves all of the Y.O.U. chapters within the SE region of the U.S.  Rallies feature family workshops that build spirituality, consciousness, leadership and self-esteem.

Y.O.U. is comprised of (3) areas:  Spiritual, Service and Fellowship:

  • Spiritual:  Each Sunday a spiritual lesson is offered to assist the YOU’ers in the understanding of spiritual laws and their practical application in daily life.  Prayer, meditation and weekend retreats are also a part of the spiritual.
  • Service:  YOU’ers conduct projects to assist their church and community.  A service project is a donation of time, love, and energy to accomplish good in the service of others.
  • Fellowship:  YOU’ers believe in celebrating life and appreciating the joy of togetherness.  YOU’ers take a leadership role in creating fun activities such as lock-ins, bowling, canoe trips, parties, etc.  These experiences provide an opportunity to practice spiritual principles as they apply to daily life.  It is a loving place to build friendships, build self-esteem, and just have a great time learning and growing together.
