Join Rev. Kimberley Harrell to learn how to use a Mala (Prayer Beads) as a meditation tool, and make a Mala of your own to take home.

Ever wonder, “What’s with those beads people are wearing?” Today, malas are popular symbols worn by yogis and everyday people alike, rarely aware of the meaning, purpose, symbolism or the name of this special necklace they adorn.

During this workshop, you will dive into this mystical aspect of meditation. You will learn what a mala is, the symbolism of mala parts, how to use a mala for meditation, and how to incorporate malas into your everyday life.

What is provided:

  • materials to make a basic* mala (necklace or bracelet)
  • use of tools needed
  • step by step instruction and guidance

Please register early, this class is limited to 30 people. Lunch will be available for purchase at Spice Routes Cafe, and will be served in LaGattuta Hall as a “working lunch”. *Semi Precious Gems & Crystal beads will be available for purchase to upgrade your personal mala to a sacred tool with information about the healing/metaphysical properties of your chosen beads.
